What a wonderful story! Not only are you my hero, I wish we were neighbors (but I’m not that good a baker, so hold on to the twins!)! I, too, am quiet, introverted and, being open and trusting one too many times, find it hard making friends. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in some of my quirks.

I love this, and thank you for sharing! I’m reading a book now, Dinner with Edward, that’s a poignant story about another unlikely friendship. It’s wonderful to open our hearts and minds and receive such a gift of unexpected friendship and joy in return!!!
