Mary – Great tip! It’s happened to me more than once, so I know exactly what you’re referencing. It’s so embarrassing and awkward, when the waitperson comes back to the table to tell you a gift card has a zero balance. Plus, as a bargain hunter, you end up paying more than you planned or expected — so frustrating! -BKC

Another suggestion is if you have a gift card or ecard ask them to check the balance before you order…we have been caught off guard several times by zero balances which we know were wrong and had them recheck. Also, I share great savings with others and, even if I don’t use them myself, it always feels great when someone else does…as in the case of Chic fil A and a family of five! Keep up the great work…world is a better place!
