In reply to Shannon. Shannon -- I would suggest you Google Colorado Proud. That is the Colo. Dept. of Agriculture website. They have a list of CSAs you can join where you receive a box of produce every week. Some may deliver, others you may have to pickup in your area. The list is long so you need to just go through and find one that includes your neighborhood. -- Laura

Hopdoddy and Public School 303 (both downtown Union Station) are both selling meats, dairy, veggies, pantry items, etc. in addition to their to-go menu. Both offer curb-side pick up and Hopdoddy also has an amazing deal on a “qauarantined together meal kit” for $24.99.

Laura another option for people is a place called Dream Dinners. They are a meal assembly company that has 17 new menu items to choose from each month. People come and assemble a months worth of meals at one time take them home and put them in their freezer. However with the virus they are now assembling all the meals for customers and offering curb side pick ups. Staff is all serve safe certified so they know how to prepare these meals safely. There are 4 locations Arvada, Centennial, Colorado Springs and Parker. They have been around since 2002. Full disclosure I own the Arvada store (I bought it last year and moved it to Arvada on 24th of February). We had planned a Re-grand opening so people knew we were there but then COVID-19 hit. We are definitely a safe alternative to the grocery store and are excited to serve or community.

Ruby Tuesday and Joe’s Crab Shack are offering meats, fruits & veggies, and pantry staples like toilet paper, juice, milk and bottled water.

Also Helga’s is offering home delivery of their menu items, deli products and if you ask they will stop at a local supermarket for you and pick up grocery items (so the vulnerable and most at risk, do not have to leave their homes). Here is the text from the email they sent out yesterday:

Here’s how it works:

– Minimum order: $50
– Delivery fee: $10
– Delivery range: we can deliver to your address up to 10 miles from Helga’s!
– How to Order: Please call the deli at 303-344-5488 – and then select extension 1!
– Payment: you may pay with credit card over the phone or, our delivery driver will accept cash when they deliver; no checks please
– Custom Orders: please let us know if you have specific items or brands you want to order and we will check with our suppliers
– Fresh Bread: from Wimberger’s every Wednesday & Friday
– Add a Meal to Your Order: just ask when you call!
