For more than 30 years, taxpayers have supported the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), which enables the DCPA to offer award-winning theatre and inspiring educational programs.

As part of the partnership, each organization offers free or discounted tickets to the public for select performances.

PRICE INCREASE: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts has increased the DCPAccess tickets from as little as $15 to $20.

In addition, the service fee has increased from $2.25 flat rate to an 18% service fee. Tickets will now be as little as $23.60. (Previously, it was $17.25.)

How does DCPAccess work?

The discounted ticket price varies by show — with an additional 18% service fee per ticket. Limit four tickets per show. (All sales are final. No refunds.) 

Other shows may also be available at a discounted price throughout the year. Discount and availability varies by show. 

If a DCPAccess ticket is available for a show date, the option to purchase will show as “DCPAccess.”

Don’t expect to be sitting on folding chairs in some gym. Many high schools house state-of-the-art theaters, perfect for immersing audiences in the experience.

High school theater is also one of the best ways to introduce children to the arts. Kids watching other kids perform not only instills a love of the arts, but helps many children envision themselves on stage.

Most high schools stage shows in the fall and spring (“spring” being a relative term, as the seasons can be mid-January through early-April). Runs are usually short, from a weekend to a week at most.

To buy tickets, it’s easiest to go to the school’s theater program website for full details. Some sell tickets online, others at the door. You may even need to call the school if you can’t find ticketing info online.

Every Tuesday, Landmark Theatres offers $7 tickets at participating locations. It’s the biggest discount the chain has ever offered.

The offer is only available for Landmark Loyalty members. . 

It’s a savings of $4.75 for matin茅e screenings (reg. $11.75) and $7.75 for evening showtimes (reg. $14.75.) For evening showtimes, it’s a savings of more than 50%. 

All tickets are only $7 on Tuesdays, except for holidays and special events. Other exclusions may apply, including special guest appearances, limited engagements with higher-than-normal ticket prices and special formats. In addition, on occasion, some theatres may be closed on any given Tuesday.

Bundle up

Most of the 2025 Market is open-air and heating lamps will be placed throughout to help keep you warm and cozy. Be sure to remember your scarf and mittens or grab one onsite from one of their craft vendors.

Buying stuff

Bars now accept both cash and credit cards. The majority of vendors accept both cash and card payments as well. In the case that guests do need cash, there are ATMs within the perimeter of the Market available for withdrawals.

Parking

You can drive, bike, bus or walk to the Market. The Auraria Campus also has 6,000 parking spaces in both open and covered lots.

Surface lots cost $15 during the market. The Tivoli Garage costs $30 at night and on weekends. Other garages are $25 at night and on weekends.

MHOTC Parking Tip: If you attend the Market on Monday to Thursday, park before 5 p.m. to save big. Parking in the Tivoli Garage is only $8.25 on Mondays through Thursdays before 5 p.m. Parking in the 5th Street Garage is $6.75 on those same days. You are not charged extra if you stay beyond 5 p.m.
