
City folk just don’t get out to the “country” enough. There’s a quick fix on Saturday, May 9, 2026, during at CALF’s historic Lowell Ranch in Castle Rock. The entire family can see all sorts of livestock and the historic Lowell Ranch House during the FREE event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is the perfect chance to see all creatures big and small including lambs, calves, chickens, pigs, and more.
The day includes a Mother’s Day pancake breakfast, plant sale and hayrides.
While admission is FREE, reservations are required, as the event is usually capped at 500 people.

See draft horses, livestock, micro-farm produce gardens, CALF’s orchard and berry patch and much more up close. Enjoy a hayride.
