Macy’s Inc. has confirmed the closure of 66 Macy鈥檚 store locations including the Macy’s at Northfield Stapleton (8298 Northfield Blvd., Denver). These closures are a part of a strategy, which includes closing 150 “underproductive” stores over a three-year period. According to a Macy’s press release, “a majority of stores are expected to close during the first three months of 2025.”

However, there is no set date for Northfield Stapleton.
The location has begun a going-out-of-business sale, with signs indicating all merchandise is up to 50% off. Area rugs are up to 60% off.
鈥淐losing any store is never easy, but as part of our Bold New Chapter strategy, we are closing underproductive Macy鈥檚 stores to allow us to focus our resources and prioritize investments in our go鈥揻orward stores, where customers are already responding positively to better product offerings and elevated service,鈥 said Tony Spring, chairman and chief executive officer of Macy鈥檚, Inc.
